Google+ has officially ended its field trial and now enters beta stage, thus making the social network war even more interesting and Facebook
becoming more agitated with its flurry of new Gplus-esque features–but
that’s another story. With the beta stage, Google+ is now available to
everyone. No invitation is required, but users are still required to
create a Google account.
The social networking service from Google also lays out a number of
updates, including improvements to the Hangouts video chat. Users can
now perform Hangouts straight from their mobile phones, although only on
Android 2.3+ for now. There is also a new Hangouts On Air feature for
public broadcasts, as well as several extra features like Hangouts APIs,
screensharing, a sketchpad, and shared Google Docs.
Google has also added search functionality across the Plus, as users can now surf for people and topics on the search bar. It has also renamed the Huddle group chat to Messenger, complete with a number of new tweaks. You can read more about it on Google’s official blog at the source link.
